Ph.D and M.D

上次陪师姐翻译一些文章，看见作者对一个老师写的学位是M.D，当时猜了半天就没猜明白。如果M.D是master degree，完全说不通，因为老师从国外回来，国外是不授与master degree。可如果是medical degree，就更为牵强了，总觉得中国人出去学临床很辛苦，如果学那么辛苦，还回国，觉得挺浪费的。今天无意在DXY看到了区别，所以ZT过来。长长知识,^o^

“M.D. is the medical doctor, especially for point to degree, usually given by medical school in foreign courtries(Europe & USA). As far as I know, China's medical school in mainland can't have the right to give somebody M.D., maybe in the future they will.

Ph.D is the further study of specialized field of medicine or other faculty,usually it points to reserach or discovery new things of your subjects. After got a M.D. diploma, you can apply for a Ph.D coures. But if a person just with Ph.D, I am not sure whether he or she can deal with patients as a doctor in foreign courtries. ”
